Dear All,
I am sure many of you will have already read the following sent to me by Mike Badcock.
Having walked around the inside of Bodmin Jail, not the hotel section, it was very interesting. Seeing the owner wants to provide a similar experience for his guests perhaps they will lock us in the IDS room as exhibits of the past!
Keep well and safe.
Kind regards
Nigel.

A landmark historic hotel has been sold for the first time in more than 40 years at a guide price of £4.5m.
Specialist business property advisor Christie & Co confirmed the sale of The Redcliffe Hotel, in Paignton, Devon.
The hotel has been purchased by Mallino Developments, the group behind the £50m conversion of the historic Bodmin Jail in Cornwall into a boutique four-star 70-bedroom hotel, which opened in February this year.
The hotel boasts one of the best positions on the English Riviera, with panoramic views across the Devon coastline.
The 70-bed hotel was originally constructed between1855 and 1865 as a grand home named Redcliffe Towers for the retired Colonel Robert Smith.
Now it is regarded as a grade-II listed landmark and prominent piece of architectural history.
The property has been owned by the Twigger family since 1979, with the family making the decision to sell as the current owner, Stephen Twigger is looking to retire.
Twigger said: “Our family are proud and privileged to have owned this wonderful and unique hotel for the last 42 years.”
Rob Cox managing director of Mallino Development Group, said: “We are delighted to have secured the purchase of this fantastic, stunning hotel and look forward to investing further to reposition it alongside ‘The Bodmin Jail Hotel’ embracing luxury and history to create unforgettable experiences for our guests”.
Stephen Champion, director at Christie & Com, added: “We look forward to seeing what plans Mallino Development Group have in store for the hotel and wish them every success in the future.”
