Our speaker this week was John Osmond who, as you know, is a Club member. John volunteered to plug a gap in our programme which was really helpful.
His talk was about the famous ship the “Great Eastern”.
This was an interesting talk supported by good visuals using numerous Victorian drawings and photographs. John was able to reinforce our admiration for the great engineers of the Victorian age.
