Our End of Season Lunch on 8thJune 2022 was a resounding success.
In his opening remarks our President Roy Matthews said:-
“Good afternoon and a big welcome to all members and guests who are here for our end of season lunch.
This lunch marks the end of Paignton Probus Club’s first session at The Paignton Club.
After over 40 years at the Redcliffe Hotel, it was hard to be told that we were no longer welcome there, and that from January 1ST 2022 we would have to find a new home for our weekly meetings..
The Paignton Club has made us very welcome and provided us with a very good venue.
As our members all know the much lower numbers at our meetings has meant that we have finished the financial year with a loss of nearly £1200.00, so please support today’s raffle to give Charles our treasurer a good start for the coming year. tickets are still available.
All the prizes have been donated by members so all the money taken from ticket sales will help the Club.
So now we all look forward to an excellent lunch to take us into our summer break.”

Everyone agreed that the meal and the service was outstanding.

To Trevor, Sue and all the Staff
On behalf of all those present at the lunch today, I want to say a very big thank you for the wonderful meal we were served .
I went around and talked to all the tables and only received praise from everybody for the food and service you provided for us.
We will look forward in anticipation to the next meal we have with you in the Autumn.
