This week’s speaker was Dr. David Taylor presenting “I Don’t Believe It: How to Tell When You are being Misled by the Truth”.
David is a great friend of Probus and he has presented to this club in the past. His talks are always both entertaining and fascinating and this one was no different.
He explained how much of the information given to the public, both from the media and from the government, can be both factual and yet highly misleading! Statistical information is particularly difficult and most of us accept this information as reliable and yet it can be completely misleading.
This talk was enjoyed by all those present.
