Our speaker this week was David Crowson whose talk was “The Myths and Reality of the German Invasion of Russia”.
This was an unusual presentation as it is in two parts, the second of which will be presented at our meeting in two weeks time.
David is a member of Torquay Probus Club and something of a World War Two buff.
This presentation was extremely detailed covering the lead up to the invasion including the development of events that brought about the war itself.
It was well received by the members present and it generated a large number of questions.
In two weeks time (April 19th) we will hear part two which will cover the invasion and associated battles.
Something that will be well worth attending!
