Today’s meeting was attended by 21 members with apologies from 5 members.
The newly introduced Hamper Raffle got off to a good start.
Todays Speaker was Ian Gray and his talk was titled “Cruising Without Jane McDonald”

Tony Taft writes:-
Todays talk was by Ian Gray.
Ian and his wife Dawn travel to countries all over the world without paying – but before you all jump to your phones to sign up there is a catch:- you have to be experts at playing bridge.
Ian explained that he and Dawn teach people to play bridge twice a day, that’s both daytime and also in the evening.
They teach on the days that the ship is at sea. When the ship is in port they are able to do pretty much what they want, with the exception of guiding some tourists around without losing any. Not easy.
Now on to the content of Ian’s talk. His visual presentation consisted of still images of things of interest and he gave a brief description of each photo. It seemed something like looking at friends holiday snaps, and we’ve all had to endure that in the past.
But I did find his descriptions of the different cultures in the countries they visited interesting.
Ian and Dawn do not travel in the best cabins and they eat their meals in the smaller restaurants. If they go to see a show they are not allowed to pick the best seats, and cannot enter in any competitions.
All in all they do have a good life.
