Meeting Report 11th October 2023

Todays speaker was Gail Ham who is chair of the Dartmouth history research group.
Today’s attendance was twenty three with two apologies.

Our photographer Tony Taft writes:-
The subject of Gail’s presentation was the important role that Dartmouth and the out lying are area took during the period of the Second World War.
Gail gave a very complex talk with a vast amount of dates and information and as such difficult to write about in this review, suffice to say the members who take this subject interesting found her talk fascinating.
During the question session some members took this opportunity to reminisce on things related to the presentation and few questions were asked.
Gail is an excellent orator and with the aid of many photographs gained from the archives of Dartmouth museum put together an excellent talk.
Afterwards we were offered the opportunity to purchase books produced by the Dartmouth History Group.

Tony Taft’s researches following the talk uncovered the following images.
