The meeting today was attended by 24 members and there was one apology.

Our speaker this week was Paul Walton who presented a very interesting talk on the, “The Role of the Magistrate “.
Paul has been a Magistrate for 15 years and lives in Brixham. Paul did not present his talk in a traditional PowerPoint format but instead engaged the Club membership in an extended question and answer session and this format worked extremely well for this subject.
During the presentation virtually all of the membership engaged with Paul asking numerous questions and this made for a lively session. In addition a few of our members have a professional policing background and this added to the debate.
Overall this was an enjoyable and interesting meeting.
