Notes relating to the above AGM:

Note(1): Re the above Item marked with* Under the terms of our Paignton Probus Constitution, the President position is offered automatically to the retiring Chairman.

Note (2): Re the above items marked with** Mr Roy Matthews has this past season been helping the committee with both, the Social Secretary, & Luncheon Officer positions.  In addition to this, he has since September 2024, also been helping our Treasurer by Auditing the clubs accounts monthly – Thank you very much Roy.

However, to meet with the terms of section 6 of the Paignton Probus Constitution in respect of the appointment of an Auditor, which says: The Auditor (not being a member of the Committee) shall be elected from the members at the AGM. Roy was not a committee member during the 2024 – 2025 season, so he met with section 6 (above). He has therefore, been working in an ‘ex-officio capacity’ auditing the clubs accounts for this past season.

Earlier this year (2025), Barry Ross asked Roy if he might be able to help further. To which Roy (helped by his wife Dinah) kindly agreed to do, taking on much of the social secretary and luncheon officer’s duties. He kindly agreed to continue to help out with these two roles, plus, in his ‘ex-officio capacity’ audit the accounts for the coming 2025 – 2026 season. This arrangement was both, appreciated, and approved by the membership in their voting at the AGM.
